Early Learning Subsidies are Shrinking: Here's What's at Stake
State and federal systems are failing families, and Pathways is standing in the gap. But without increased community investment, this safety net cannot hold. If this matters to you, please consider contacting your legislators!
TANF Cuts Threaten Stability for Families with Children
Indiana’s sudden TANF cuts threaten housing stability for families with young children. Read how Pathways relied on these funds to step in to protect families, provide essentials, and offer wraparound support that changed lives. Please, contact your state legislators!
The Pathways Difference:
Where Stability Hangs in the Balance
This chart shows how families lose access to key supports—like food (SNAP), health (Medicaid, ACA), and child care (CCDF) assistance—as their income increases. The teal line tracks how many major benefits are available at different income levels, while the green curve shows where most Pathways families fall. Even families earning $35K–$60K often make too much to qualify for help, but still too little to cover the true cost of living in Monroe County—trapped in the “benefits cliff.

Executive Skills are important to the goal-setting process. These skills affect how we organize & plan, how we react to things, and how we get things done. By understanding where our strengths and weaknesses are for our Executive Skills, we can create a goal action plan that is best suited for our strengths. For our weaknesses, we can come up with a few environmental modifications that can help us mitigate the obstacles caused by these weaknesses.
Your Path participants will work with their coach to determine their strengths and weaknesses - you can take the questionnaire to see where your strengths & weaknesses lie.
