Nourish Together – Pathways, Inc.
Monthly Food Giving Circle

Nourish Together:
stock the fridge, feed the family

A monthly community giving circle dedicated to keeping essential fridge and freezer staples stocked for Bloomington families — the items that rarely get donated but matter most.

Why this matters right now: Recent cuts to federal and state assistance have increased Pathways' fundraising needs. Nourish Together helps meet our food pantry needs through community partnerships — freeing up funds to better support families in other ways.

How it works

Simple, flexible, impactful

Nourish Together is designed to be easy for participants and transformational for families. Here's all you need to know.

1
Choose your item

Pick one or more fridge or freezer staples from the list below — things your community can realistically gather each month.

2
Commit for 6 months

Pledge a set amount of your chosen item each month for a six-month cycle (March–August or September–February). Then extend if you'd like!

3
Deliver or we'll pick up

Drop items off at Pathways, or we can arrange a pickup — whatever works best for you and your group.

What we need

Fridge & freezer staples

Why fridge and freezer items? Non-perishable canned goods are the most commonly donated food items — and we're grateful for them. But fresh and frozen proteins, dairy, and produce are what families actually need to cook real meals. These items are rarely donated, which is exactly why Nourish Together focuses on them.

Your commitment

What to expect as a participant

Nourish Together is designed to be flexible and work with your community's capacity. Here's what participation looks like.

Six-month commitment

Cycles run March–August or September–February. The initial commitment is six months, with the option to extend for another cycle.

Perfect for groups

Offices, faith communities, neighborhoods, clubs — Nourish Together works well when a group pools their contributions each month.

Delivery or pickup

Drop items off at Pathways (827 W. 14th Ct, Mon–Fri 7:35 AM–5:15 PM) or we can arrange a pickup if that's easier.

You set the amount

There's no required quantity — you decide what your group can realistically commit to each month. Every contribution counts.
