Our Impact
Mission, Vision
& Values
For over 30 years, we've shown up for families in Bloomington. Here's what guides every decision we make.
We provide high-quality, affordable early learning and promote economic mobility for families.
To be an essential part of a community committed to helping all families thrive.
"Despite the chaos, for the first time in my life I feel like I truly have control over where my life is going."
— Nicole, Your Path participant
What We Believe
Our Values & Principles
These six principles shape every program we run, every family we serve, and every decision we make as an organization.
We strive to provide the highest quality early learning experience for every child at Compass. Our teachers and staff receive ongoing professional development so we can continually strengthen our knowledge and skills.
Child development extends beyond the classroom. By offering sliding-scale tuition, family resources, and comprehensive coaching, we address the entire support system — because children thrive when families thrive.
We value unconditional positive regard. Every child, family participant, staff member, volunteer, donor, and community partner is treated with dignity and respect — without exception.
Progress grows from structured support systems. We create environments where families, children, and staff experience safety, security, connection, and confidence — and connect people to the resources they need.
We promote equity over equality. Our programs are designed to provide equitable access to quality early learning and support services, addressing the social and economic inequalities that stand in families' way.
We prioritize responsible resource management. Every dollar goes toward our mission. We honor the trust of our donors and supporters through mutual accountability, transparency, and integrity — ensuring investments create tangible, sustainable outcomes.
