Essential Items Available for Compass ELC Families
Groceries
Our food pantry provides groceries once per week.
Using our order form (available in the Compass ELC hallway), you can choose grocery items that your family likes. We often have fresh produce, Panera Bread, frozen meat, and frozen entrees and sides from local restaurants and the schools in addition to canned and boxed foods. This is designed to provide an adequate supply of food to supplement grocery needs and save your family money to be used to meet other needs. Our food program is free to all Compass ELC families!
Cleaning and Hygiene
Every week, you can receive 1-3 full-sized cleaning & hygiene items for your family. These are items that are used to clean you or your living space. Typical items available for request include:
- laundry detergent
- all-purpose cleaner
- trash bags
- shampoo/conditioner
- toothpaste
- pads & tampons
- soap
- dish detergent
- paper towels
We will keep our order form updated with items we have in stock.
Clothing & Small House Items
We partner with the Opportunity House, located just down the street, to provide vouchers for families for clothing, shoes, & small housewares. The Opportunity House stocks towels, sheets/bedding, baking and cooking items, dishes, and more in addition to clothing, decor, and toys.
Every 3 months, families can receive a store credit. The credit is worth $15/child ad $25/adult in the household, which can be spent however you see fit, either all at once or over a 3 month period. You will be able to use that credit towards clothing and household goods at Opportunity House anytime within 90 days.
We utilize donations to make these services possible for our families. We welcome food drives any time of the year and can support you with custom-designed flyers and other assistance, as needed.
Our most-needed food items are usually: cereal, macaroni & cheese, peanut butter (& jelly!), helper meals (tuna helper & tuna), and snacks (granola bars, graham crackers, pudding cups, etc.).
